Environment

Olive was given the opportunity to create a song for elementary-school children that would instruct them on the value of recycling while entertaining them. That song, "Recycle All You Can," which accompanied a promotional campaign to increase recycling in Montgomery County, Maryland, was a huge success. Children all over the county were taught the lyrics, and the song was featured in an instructional music video. Olive E advocates protection of the environment and responsible use of natural resources, but what is central to us is the promotion of campaigns such as this one that encourage socially beneficially actions; recycling is a community effort, and music is a crucially important means of communicating that.

"Recycle All You Can"
In 1999, Olive E was hired by Montgomery County, Maryland, to write a song that would educate children on environmental issues and serve as the theme song for the county's recycling campaign.
"Recycle All You Can," an upbeat and catchy number encouraging kids to do their part for the environment, was used in an educational video as well as played live for the campaign's kick-off tour. The song's memorable lyrics give a sense of the wonder of the natural world and the gravity of letting it go to waste.
Should your community, school, or family want to teach children about the value of caring for the world around us, "Recycle All You Can" is a wonderful tool. To order a copy of the CD . . .
