Gold-Medal and 2002 Medal-Favorite Winter Olympians Sing "ALL I'VE GOT"
Silver Medalists Shannon Bahrke and Derek Parra Vocalists on CD

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, February 8, 2002-"ALL I'VE GOT" is an original song that combines the creative efforts of professional artists and Olympic athletes of the 2002 Winter Games to celebrate the determination and sacrifice that the Olympic dream demands. "ALL I'VE GOT" follows on the heels of a similar song project called "Shine," created and performed by Olympians and Olympic hopefuls of the 2000 Sydney Summer Games. "Shine" captured the spirit of the Olympic dream in a way that only the participation of the athletes themselves could. The goal of "ALL I'VE GOT" is to recreate that incredible experience for the 2002 Games.

The Salt Lake City Olympic Committee has chosen "ALL I'VE GOT" to include in its music library for athlete selection. Athletes have the option of playing "ALL I'VE GOT" during the Games while they warm up or compete; listen for it soon during Olympic broadcasts!

Written by Australian singer and songwriter Richard Rached, "ALL I'VE GOT" features the voices of athletes who will be competing in the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jean Racine, the #1 bobsled driver in the world and winner of the World Cup title for the past two years, is a solo voice on "ALL I'VE GOT." Others singing on the CD include Jill Bakken, winner of the U.S. World Cup Trials in bobsled for the 2002 season; Joey Cheek, U.S. record holder in the 500- and 1000-meters speed skating events; Christopher Soule, ranked 2nd in the world overall in skeleton sledding; Lea Ann Parsley, winner of the 2002 U.S. World Cup Trials in skeleton; 2002 Silver Medalist in freestyle mogul skiing Shannon Bahrke; Randy Jones, member of the USA's leading four-man bobsled team; 2002 Silver Medalist in speed skating Derek Parra; and Elena Primerano Wise, a bobsledder and choir teacher who assisted Rached in directing the athletes during the recording of their vocals. Nikki Stone, 1998 Olympic Gold Medalist in inverted aerial skiing, recruited these athletes to the project and joins the chorus. Bonnie Blair, five-time Gold Medalist in speed skating, has offered her support to the project.

"To achieve success, it takes all you've got-family, friends, money, time," says Rached. "Being an Olympic athlete, or achieving any great personal goal, means sacrifice; it means reaching down to reserves of strength and persistence rarely seen."

Nikki Stone expressed her enthusiasm for the concept: "The athletes thanked me for being able to bring them together and have something to carry on after the Games."

Proceeds from the song will go to Olympic Aid and to charities chosen by the participating athletes. "There is a serious side to our training, and as long as we get to give something back, I think that's very important to us," explained Chris Soule.
